Archives Animal Breeding now included in PubMedCentral (PMC)

12 December 2019

PubMedCentral (PMC) has completed both its scientific quality review and its technical evaluation. We are proud to announce that the journal Archives Animal Breeding is now available at the platform too (view our profile at https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/journals/3733). PMC is a free full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the US National Institutes of Health's National Library of Medicine. Through the inclusion in PMC, the visibility and archiving of Archives Animal Breeding is further enhanced. The content from volume 62 on is now searchable and accessible via PubMed, the well-known free search engine for Medline and other bibliographic databases.

This is exciting news and represents the commitment of the chief editors, assisted by the advisory board, for their work and, more importantly, the confidence of the scientific community in Archives Animal Breeding due to the submission of their high-quality articles.

Gunther Viereck, Managing Editor, states "we are very happy that Archives Animal Breeding is now included in PMC and PubMed. It is a milestone for the further development of the journal. We would like to thank our publisher Copernicus for the great support, the diligent reviewers, and of course the outstanding authors who made it possible. We are very confident that we will be able to maintain and further expand the quality standards we have achieved in the last years, so that we can offer our readers cutting-edge open-access content in the future as well."
